NEWS FLASH

Zadar Airport has been granted permits to expand its international departures area. The development will allow the airport to add capacity but also adapt to Schengen standards. Last year, Rijeka Airport became the first in the country to adhere to Schengen travel requirements. Croatia is expected to join the European area without internal border control sometime after 2018. Zadar last expanded its international departures area in 2011. A number of airlines have already announced plans to launch new flights to the airport this year including Ryanair (Bristol, Copenhagen, Glasgow), easyJet (Milan), Eurowings (Munich, Vienna) and Flybe (London Southend).
