AtlasGlobal launches Belgrade service

Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal launched services between Istanbul Ataturk Airport and Belgrade yesterday, replacing Air Serbia on the route. Commenting on the new daily service, which will be operated with a mix of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, AtlasGlobal’s Revenue Management Director, Nevzat Arsan, said, "With the codeshare agreement that we have signed with Air Serbia we will be flying daily from Belgrade to Istanbul and beyond. In Serbia, as in all of our other markets, we will work hard to become the passengers' airline of choice. Our main aim is to introduce Belgrade passengers to the privileged world of travelling with AtlasGlobal. Our aim is to carry more passengers to more places and to provide the quickest, most efficient and most cost-effective service possible. We believe that Belgrade will be one our best performing routes this year”. Pending government approvals, Air Serbia will also codeshare on AtlasGlobal’s international flights to markets such as Russia, Moldova and Kuwait in the Middle East, as well as domestic flights to additional points in Turkey, all via Istanbul. In return, AtlasGlobal will increase its connectivity by placing its “KK” code on selected Air Serbia regional services in Southeast Europe and its long haul flights to New York. The two carriers are also exploring opportunities to provide passengers frequent flier benefits, including the ability to accrue miles on codeshare flights, and reciprocal premium lounge access at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and Istanbul Ataturk Airport for eligible travellers. AtlasGlobal will launch its second destination in the former Yugoslavia, to Sarajevo on June 19.
