LOT to boost Croatia operations

NEWS FLASH

LOT Polish Airlines plans to increase its operations to Croatia this year due to strong demand. Apart from its previously announced new seasonal service between Warsaw and Pula, which begins on May 14, the carrier will boost frequencies to Zagreb from six to ten weekly flights starting July 1. The airline has also upgraded its equipment from a Dash 8 turboprop to an Embraer ERJ 175 on the route. Furthermore, LOT will continue to maintain seasonal services to Split and Zadar this summer. "Croatia is one of the more appealing countries on the Mediterranean but has not been fully discovered yet. Thanks to summer flights from Warsaw to the Croatian coast, we will contribute to promote Croatia as the perfect holiday destination, not just among Poles but among other countries as well. An example are Asian holidaymakers who visit Poland and later continue to Split or Zadar", the carrier's spokesperson, Adrian Kubicki, said.

Well, the LO E75 has just 4 more seats than the Q400. Still, good news nonetheless.

Maybe OU can sign a code-share agreement with them and launch WAW.

This is kind of sad, goes to show how others are exploiting the weakness of the local carrier.
Reminds me of Jat back in the day.

OU would never be able to keep up with the year on year increase in pax numbers across Croatian airports. Codeshare would be good however overall this is amazing to see LOs focus across numerous airport pairs.
As Anon 1.33 PM says Bravo Hrvatska!!!!!!!!
