NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia launched services between Belgrade and Venice this morning, linking the two cities for the first time in 27 years. The flights will operate four times per week with an ATR72 turboprop, although an Airbus A319, featuring the carrier's new cabins, was deployed on the inaugural service. The jet was officially welcomed by a water cannon salute and a delegation led by Monica Scarpa, CEO of SAVE Group, which manages the Italian airport. On board the flight was a VIP group headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlović, the Ambassador of Italy to Serbia, Giuseppe Manzo, and senior representatives from Air Serbia led by CEO Dane Kondić.

Commenting on the new service, Mr Kondić, said, “We’re delighted to connect the Serbian capital to Venice, our third destination in Italy after Milan and Rome. Our new Venice service offers guests a multitude of travel options each week and a total capacity of 560 seats weekly, making it easier to plan business trips, long weekends and getaways. In addition, we’ve timed it to connect seamlessly over our Belgrade hub to our regional services, so that guests from across our network can look forward to a comfortable journey to Venice”. There are an estimated 70.000 people of Serbian ethnicity living in the catchment area of Marco Polo Airport, while 600 Italian companies, many of which are from the Veneto region, do business in Serbia. The A319 jet deployed on the inaugural flight carries the name Dejan Stanković, after the renowned Serbian footballer who resides in Italy.

I suppose you were being sarcastic. What strikes me is that they haven't put a seat with a removable tray table in between the two seats in biz class, as Lufthansa does.

But unlike Lufthansa they have a divider with a curtain between biz and economy. Btw service is still the same, it's just the seats that have changed. Same generous meal, menu, hot towel, blanket... Flew with them last week.

Have you ever flown with Lufthansa to make that claim? Check photo. Furthermore, in LH biz class, the armrests can move to make the feeling of the seats wider, when used as C-class

Ovaj stočić u sredini je super stvar. Danas probao i mogu reci da je bolje nego sta sam očekivao..možeš da staviš neke male sitnice na svoje piće umesto da otvaraš pomoćni stočić
