NEWS FLASH

Low cost carrier Ryanair has celebrated handling two million customers on flights to and from Zadar since it launched operations to the city in 2007. Since then, the airline has opened a seasonal base in Zadar and maintains flights to fifteen destinations. Dimitra Apatsidou, Ryanair's Deputy Sales and Marketing Manager for Eastern Mediterranean, said, "We are delighted to celebrate handling two million passengers from/to Zadar since our first flight in 2007. We have shown our dedication in supporting Zadar's tourism industry and the local economy. We look forward to the future development of new destinations, traffic and tourism in Croatia in the years to come". The airline launched a promotional ticket sale for its Zadar flights to mark the occasion. Zadar Airport's General Manager, Irena Ćosić, said, "We are extremely satisfied with our cooperation with Ryanair over the last ten years. The airport's record of welcoming 520.000 passengers last year was in large part as a result of Europe's largest low cost airline. Ryanair will continue to play a key role in the growth and development of Zadar Airport".
