NEWS FLASH

Qatar Airways is seeking new cabin crew members from Macedonia and Croatia. The Doha-based airline will hold a recruitment event in Skopje on July 16 at The Holiday Inn (Filip Vtori Makedonski 5) at 09.00 CEST sharp, and in Zagreb on July 23 at the Westin Hotel (Izidora Kršnjavoga 1) also at 09.00. Those interested must attend in formal business attire. Requirements include a minimum age of 21 years, arm reach of 212 cm on tip toes, high school education with fluency in written and spoken English, as well as excellent health and fitness. Further details for the Skopje recruitment can be found here, and for the Zagreb job opening here.

With ongoing consolidation among the Middle East's "Big Three" carriers, Qatar Airways is the only airline still regularly hiring foreign crew, whereas Emirates and Etihad Airways have frozen their recruitment processes. Emirates is expected to resume hiring foreign crew and offering job opportunities to nationals from the former Yugoslavia during the fourth quarter of the year.
