Royal Jordanian begins Sarajevo codeshare flights

NEWS FLASH

Royal Jordanian Airlines and Turkish Airlines have expanded their codeshare agreement to include Sarajevo. As a result, Royal Jordanian passengers will be able to travel with easier connections and more flexible alternatives with one ticket and one single check-in at Amman Airport to Sarajevo via Istanbul. President and CEO of Royal Jordanian Airlines, Stefan Pichler, said, "Codeshare agreements with global airlines are in line with Royal Jordanina's turnaround plan and endeavour to offer an improved passenger experience and enhance competitiveness at regional and global levels". He added that the expansion of the codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines, which has been in place since 2015, enables the carrier's passengers to fly to their desired destination more easily and conveniently. Carriers from the Middle East are competing to cater for the growing demand between the region and Sarajevo. A number of carriers from the Gulf have announced plans to significantly increase their operations to the Bosnian capital this year.

I recall Royal Jordanian bidding for B&H Airlines' 49% stake takeower in 2007 if I'm not mistaken. They lost to Turkish Airlines.

Yep their bid came second. Who knows how things would have worked out had they won.

Turkish was picked as the best bidder in an auction for BH Airlines in October. Malaysia's Comintel Corp (CMNL.KL) and a Jordanian consortium that included Royal Jordanian Airline RJAL.AM were among firms that made binding bids for the stake in the company.

Exactly it was Royal Jordanian. I'm pretty sure things would've worked out the same as with Turkish because of the corrupt and uncapable government.
