Pegasus plans Tivat flights

Low cost carrier Pegasus Airlines plans on introducing services between Istanbul and Tivat. The company is in talks with the airport over potential two weekly seasonal summer flights. There is currently no service between Istanbul and Tivat, with Turkish Airlines operating to Podgorica. Within the former Yugoslavia, Pegasus Airlines maintains operations from Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Belgrade, Pristina, Sarajevo and Skopje. Tivat Airport handled a record 1.129.720 passengers in 2018, an increase of 15% on the year before.

    There were some talks of Pegasus entering the Croatian market when Erdogan visited the Croatia a year or two ago. Any news about that?

      The market between Croatia is not that big. TK even reduces ZAG in winter while it doesn't LJU for example which is interesting.

      Turkey & Slovenia have better economic relationship so that's probably a reason they don't reduce flights in winter (+ visa free for Slo citizens ).

      Still, I don't see why Pegasus couldn't fly in summer to Croatian coast? Flew with Pegasus from SAW to BEG 2 years ago & plane was full as I remember.

    The Turks, besides the Russians, are the largest real estate investors on the coast. Pegasus flts is not a surprise.
