Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has registered its busiest February on record by handling 297.426 passengers, representing an increase of 5.3% on last year. During the slowest and shortest month of the year, the airport recorded 3.643 aircraft movements, up 1.9%. The amount of processed cargo increased 39%. During the first two months of the year the airport handled 631.415 passengers, up 3.1% on the same period last year.

Belgrade Airport is gearing up for a busy period ahead with easyJet, Iran Air and Qeshm Air launching new routes to the Serbian capital in the coming months, while a number of carriers will increase their presence by adding frequencies on existing services, including Air Cairo, Belavia, Etihad Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Flydubai, Vueling, Transavia, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Swiss International Air Lines, Wizz Air and TAROM. Cargo is really impressive but I also think it's impressive how similar January and February are.

would be good to see the import/export breakdown of it all. Though it is generally known, we export artillery shells and import Chinese gadgets the most.

Agricultural produce is also exported via Egyptair.

Makes me think if TK Cargo will add some more flights.

Congratulations BEG! If we had another day it would have been over 300.000 for sure!

I hope JU pulls its act together real soon otherwise foreign carriers will eat away its marketshare.

BEG added some 15.000 passengers in February. Not bad at all since JU is struggling.

    INI published its numbers too.

    Jan-Feb 2017: 43.000 passengers
    Jan-Feb 2018: 55.806 passengers

February jumped from 21.987 to 27.806!

INI is solidly handling 30.000 passengers during slow months. There is only Stockholm that was added in recent months, no?

If INI keeps on growing like this then we might see them pass 400.000 passengers this year. Wizz Air's Vienna flight should help with bringin in more passengers.

INI-VIE will seriously affect OS' flight from SKP.

I agree that SKP-VIE will be hurt by INI-VIE especially if they deploy the A321 and lets see what happens tomorrow in VIE with W6!

Maybe that's why they introduced OHD-VIE but not SKP-VIE. Smart move really.

Aeroflot used A321 several times during February on its flight to and from Moscow :)

Hope ASL has some increase in number of passengers as well.

No they don't unfortunately, they even cancelled today's 17:00 departure meaning that they are low on passengers even on this iconic route.

This is very strange. BEG lists JU 654 at 17h on Thursdays in seasonal timetable, but no flight on a departure page for today?! The only cancellation listed today is JU 172 for Podgorica.

5% is a nice increase indeed meaning that BEG can maybe reach over 6 million this year.

Over 6 millions ? They need about 13.5 % average growth. I really think it's difficult.
