Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has broken several passenger records over the past week during which the Serbian capital hosted the EuroLeague Final Four basketball championships. During the duration of the sporting event, between Friday and Sunday, Belgrade Airport welcomed over 100.000 passengers through its doors. It set its own record for the number of arriving travellers on Friday, May 18, during which 11.828 passengers were handled, while the record for the number of departing travellers was achieved yesterday, when a total of 13.062 boarded their flights. Yesterday also saw the airport record some 240 aircraft operations, seven of which were by wide-body aircraft.

The numbers include day before the tournament started and day after it finished because that's when most people arrived and left. The final ended at 11pm on Synday

BEG should begin the busy summer season with some 2 million passengers.

One destination that seems to be doing really well is FCO. Last night JU arrived packed, this morning it sent an A320 while AZ tonight has maybe 15 empty seats to BEG!

Shame they didn't add more flights.

There used to be 3-4 flights daily couple of years back between BEG and FCO and now it is down to 1-3 depending on the season and day. This route was only victim of Etihad engagement with AZ as European Commission found this route to be only one where the deal could seriously hamper competition and required some slots to be freed for competitors.

U svakom slucaju, aerodrom ce sigurno izgledati bolje u narednim godinama i imacemo rast broja letova i putnika, a pogotovo ako dodje do pravog sirenja LCC.

Nova dijaspora intenzivnije odrzava veze i cesce dolazi.
