NEWS FLASH

The luxurious Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Boeing 757-200ER jet has touched down in the former Yugoslavia carrying business passengers touring across Eastern Europe. The aircraft, which has the capacity to seat 52 travellers, features custom interiors, which are designed to match the standard of style found throughout the company's hotels. Passengers are treated to customised inflight amenities (such as blankets woven out of Mongolian cashmere, leather tote bags designed exclusively for Four Seasons passengers by Ghurka), an on board chef, as well as 78 inches (two metres) of personal space per seat. Over the last few days, the aircraft arrived in Belgrade from Minsk, after which it continued to Ljubljana and then onto Mostar. It completed its journey in Sarajevo and then flew off to Ajaccio on the island of Corsica.

I just checked online and there is no Four Seasons in Belgrade. Are there any fancy five star hotels in the city where they stayed? Same for Mostar.

There are many 5 star hotels in Belgrade - Hilton, Hyatt, Crowne Plaza, Marriott, Metropol Palace, Square Nine (probably the most luxurious) etc

There is also the Radisson but I think it's 4 star. Interestingly Sheraton opened its hotel a few weeks ago but in Novi Sad.

There is also Hilton that opened recently.

What's interesting is that no matter how many hotels open they are all full.

Same with Mariott and Holiday Inn Express.

Well I have to say Belgrade has quite a lot 5 star hotels for its size. Let's not forget that the W Hotel is under construction at the Belgrade Waterfront project and soon the Regis hotel and suites.

Wow. Never knew Belgrade had so many hotels, surprising in a positive way. They are really developing nicely.

I just read online that the fashion family is also opening a hotel in Dortyol.

Belgrade actually lacks big 5* hotels in order to organise major congresses. It is also lacking 3* establishments, while being at the moment oversaturated with 4* but that is a known phenomenon.

Well when it comes to congresses and big events there are two places:

1.Holiday Inn that has a relatively large expo center right next to it.

      2. Crown Plaza which is linked to Sava Centar. That said, I feel like S.C. could be renovated soon.

These two are enough for the time being. As for three stars, you are so right. Most are 4 stars and prices start at €70 a night.
We need decent hotels that start from €30 a night. I am still waiting to see what Matijevic does with Slavija.

The operator is TCS World Expeditions. They operate private jet tours exclusively and usually outside of the high season times. I used to work with a travel operator from Croatia cooperating with them on the field. You can check out some of their itineraries online, the tours cost just around 60.000 USD per pax. Sample itinerary in the Balkans: https://www.tcsworldtravel.com/luxury-jet-expeditions/ancient-empires-balkans/2019/may#trip-summary
