Ukrainian carrier SkyUp Airlines will introduce services from Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov and Zaporizhia to Podgorica during the 2019 summer season. According to the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, flights from Kiev will be maintained three times per week, while services from Lvov, Kharkov and Zaporizhia will run twice weekly. The regulator issued permits to the carrier, enabling it to introduce the new routes from March 31 onwards. SkyUp Airlines was launched earlier this year as a charter carrier but plans to commence scheduled flights next year. It boasts a fleet of three Boeing 737-800s and one B737-700, with orders for three B737 MAX 10 and two MAX 8 aircraft.

ReplyDeleteNew Ukranian LCC, they are having ambitious plans apparently. They ordered 5 Maxes from Boeing:

They launched strange destinations from IEV such as Poprad in Slovakia and some strange seasonal flights to Sofia.
More Ukranians are emigrating the country to Spain and Germany and therefore also launched flights to there.
Both Kiev airports are seeing a huge boom following visa abolishments to Europe.
It's a charter airline with some share of regular flights. Ukrainian officials promote it as,a low-cost carrier but it's not true

ReplyDeleteNatural allies? Well that's a stretch. These flights are bringing tourists who can't afford Greece or Croatia.
