NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia has scheduled a wet-leased Nordica Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft on a number of destinations as of June 1. The Serbian carrier will utilise the 88-seat jet on select flights from Belgrade to Dubrovnik, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Helsinki, Kiev, Prague, Stuttgart, Thessaloniki, Vienna and Zurich. As previously reported, the lease contract for the aircraft was concluded between Regional Jet, a joint venture between Nordica and LOT Polish Airlines, and Air Serbia for a four-month period. As a result, both aircraft and crew will be provided to the Serbian airline until October.

    Interesting.
I thought that the A319 was deployed to PRG and KBP. It seems it will be used to Spain and Russia.

Interestingly it will be sent to DBV but not SPU. I guess SPU is performing much better.

No it has more to do with scheduling for this plane. Dubrovnik is increased compared to last year and 3 out of seven flights are on jet engine planes.

Split was also increased in terms of capacity.

SPU is better performing destination than DBV by far for ASL, higher demand.

So much to the fact that Germany can sustain any capacity. STR cancelled by EW and in the middle of summer decreased from 319 to CR9, albeit on certain days only, still less cap.

Maybe JU needs the capacity elsewhere that has more demand?

Sure, for instance for flights out of INI.

I tried to book Kiev for mid July as I would much rather have a direct flight and all days that were convenient for me are already sold out???

If you are booking through Air Serbia website be careful that you select the correct airport in Kiev as they list both. I just went to their website and you can book flights . I randomly schose 7th of July and 14th of July return.
