Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to take full control of its airspace on December 5 after concluding interstate agreements with neighbouring countries. The Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) took control of the country's lower airspace (up to 32.000 feet) at the end of 2014, however, its upper airspace is still controlled by Serbia and Croatia. “We have fulfilled all of our obligations. I especially want emphasise the work that has gone into training personnel and securing necessary technical equipment in order for us to take control of our airspace", the head of BHANSA, Davorin Primorac, said. He added, "BHANSA, together with other bodies and institutions, has invested enormous efforts over the years in order to make this goal a reality. Now we can say with complete certainty that this historic moment will occur on December 5 of this year”.
Nice, this is a perfect opportunity to have a fair, transparent call for applicants... which we know won't happen.

Wonderful. Soon, we will have thousands of micro controls making a mess for air traffic when it comes to communication, flight levels, descents, approaches... Instead of uniting and making it easier, controlling air traffic will become more and more chaotic and air traffic controllers and pilots are already less sharp and proactive then older generations who actually knew the job without pushing a button and forgetting it all.

It took them a decade of delay to put it up and first after the cake got cut in 3, with a ATS center in each entity, the project moved on and the next headache was now who shall train the candidates, as some voted for CroControl andand other for SMATSA. Total waste of resources and funds for such a small country, where all could be in one unit. Not to mention that it would have been cheaper to rent space at CroControl or SMATSA, iras make a agreement that BiH controllers cover Sarajevo FIR from there. But pride in our region is greater and more valued than common sense and saving the country money.
Deleteinstead of working toward our part of the Single European Sky and getting rid of crocontrol, smatsa, ... we are setting up new obstacles.
Deletethe budget of crocontrol alone should be enough to cover all of exyu if it were set up properly.
