Revamped jet fuel lab opens at Belgrade Airport

NEWS FLASH

The Serbian oil and gas company NIS has opened its modernised aviation fuel control laboratory at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. Valued at over quarter of a million euros, the project involved the installation of new and advanced equipment for jet A fuel testing and quality control. "Through this lab modernisation project, we improved the process of controlling the quality of jet fuel produced in Serbia and ensured greater operational efficiency", the Director of the NIS Scientific and Technology Centre, Leonid Stulov, said. NIS currently supplies fuel to Air Serbia, Aeroflot, Alitalia, Austrian Airlines, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways at Belgrade Airport. Earlier this month, the company inked an agreement to become Air France's fuel supplier in the Serbian capital.

Fuel quality and contamination are important. If you don't think so, look up Cathay Pacific Flight 780.
