Lauda reaches out to Adria pilots

NEWS FLASH

Low cost carrier Lauda is offering Adria Airways pilots a fast-track interview and assessment process for employment at its bases in Vienna and Palma de Mallorca. “We understand it is a very difficult time for you and your families. Lauda has immediate job opportunities in Vienna and Palma for captains and first officers. We can offer a fast-track assessment process in Dublin and we will move through the applications as soon as possible”, Lauda’s Chief Pilot, Chris Grube, said. Applications can be lodged here. Lauda, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ryanair, boasts a fleet of 21 Airbus A320 aircraft, with a further four on order.

I fear this might put an end to Adria as I am sure all pilots will try to get a job with Lauda especially since Vienna is not far from home.

Is it really employment by Lauda or through a third party contractor like Crewlink?
And their employment contracts and benefits will be based on Irish Law?

No idea but Lauda is based and registered in Austria so maybe Austrian laws apply?

Then again, what's more appealing, Crewlink or Slovenian unemployment benefits?

F***** Ryanair. They'll be getting cheap, desperate pilots so they can decrease conditions in Ryanair. Again.

No one is forcing them to work there, they are being invited to an interview. That's all, it's up to them to accept the offer or walk away.

Oh, really?! Because you have so many opportunities in Europe?! Get real. There is no pilot shortage, there is only a shortage of pilots, willing to work for peanuts. Apparently, not anymore.

There are also other companies sending an offers, as well to ground operational staff too
