What I find especially interesting is that October was almost as strong as September. Usually that's when passenger numbers start to fall. I guess JU helped. Anyone know how routes are perfoming? Especially Bologna?

Not for JU as these flights are financially suppoted by GoS

no subsidy is that high that you can fly around with half empty aircrafts.

Well obviously the route isn't a financial pit since it wasn't cut like BUD.

Flew MLA INI and there were maybe 15 empty seats on the plane. Mostly Serbs and around 20 Albanians onboard. I saw KS plates in front of the terminal.

If there is enough demand on new routes from INI then there won't be any need for subsidies. They are subsidized for a reason so don't see why ouch.

    3. Anonymous16:19

wher there is no enough demand there should be no routes

    1. No, but BLQ-INI is 40 and INI-BLQ 90, last month. Today I am on the same route, will see later

    2. Anonymous16:05

Let us know how the load is.

    3. 21.11. BLQ-INI just 29, from INI about 30 (I saw from the gate)

    4. Anonymous10:43

      OUCH.
I guess if the brand would be WizzAir the load would be much higher (when I compare the WizzAir loadfactors from INI).
I thought Serbians like to fly with their flag carrier? Or is it still the reasont that the flights are not known enough?
Maybe it looks better next year.

it has very little to do with brands more with demand.

    6. Anonymous12:32

Then it is strange that WizzAir has on similar routes to regional airports better loadfactors then AirSerbia to main cities, for example when comparing loadfactors on AirSerbia from Belgrade to Germany with WizzAir from Belgrade to Germany. Seems people prefer to drive to a regional airport and then flying instead of taking the direct flight from the city airport.

    7. Serbs in Italy: Veneto 10.000, Emilia-Romagna 3.300. Who is responsable for the flights to BLQ? Treviso is a perfect solution for us. Ryan from BGY was almost every time with a LF 90-95%. Only one reason for BLQ?
Also, BEG-VCE flied at wednesday with a 16 passengers.

@Mihajlo the same guy who thought BUD (and LJU) is a great idea too

A regional jet like Embraer 190 or a CRJ9000 would be sufficient for those routes. Unfortunately Air Serbia only have >140seat jets.

    10. Here are the results of the new INI services to Germany...July and August http://fkb-fans.forumprofi.de/t1340f2012-Nis-Serbien-AirSerbia-Ryanair-und-wizzair.html

Crazy when you look at the loadfactor in August per airline on INI routes to Germany:

      Ryanair 98,6%
      WizzAir 94,6%
      AirSerbia 63%

Will be intersting how they improve, but does AirSerbia really do some advertisting/marketing about the new INI flights?

    Questions:

    1. What are the future projections for INI for the upcoming 5 years? If BEG has a projection of 12 million by 2035 then will INI be where BEG is today?
    2. How about the future of KVO? Will it not hurt the current situation?
    3. Finally, if INI is competing with SKP, which routes will not be duplicated such as SZG and FCO?

      INI is competing with SKP?
in your mindset BNX is probably also competing with ZAG

What he meant is that both airports are fighting for passengers from the same catchment area.

  7. Anonymous15:38

26% more operation and just 14% more passengers. That makes LF very low!

Of course since a lot of JU routes are subsidized, it will take time for them to develop.
