NEWS FLASH

Ryanair will reduce operations between Bergamo and Niš due to reduced travel demand resulting from the coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak, which has spread rapidly across northern Italy. Ryanair will maintain one weekly service between the two cities from March 17 until April 7 instead of two per week. The Saturday rotation will be cancelled between these dates. Ryanair has said it is reducing its network (mainly to and from Italy) by 25% between March 18 and April 8 in response to Covid-19. “Over the past week, Ryanair has seen a significant drop in bookings over that late March/early April period, in response to the Covid-19 virus. There has also been a significant step up in passenger no shows on flights, particularly from and within Italy”, Europe’s largest airline said. It added, “Ryanair will continue to monitor bookings carefully, and will continue to flex its schedule in response to this developing situation”.

It's great excuse for Ryanair to cancel these routes with empty planes.
