NEWS FLASH

Croatia Airlines has scheduled the resumption of flights between Zagreb and Copenhagen for June 1.  Services will initially run five times per week during the first week, before increasing to daily with the Dash 8 turboprop aircraft. As a result, the carrier will serve three international destinations from the Croatian capital - Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Frankfurt - and will continue to maintain domestic flights from Zagreb to Dubrovnik and Split. The airline will also operate a one-off nonstop flight from Split to Frankfurt on May 29. The carrier is expected to resume operations to a wider number of destinations, as well as reinstate additional nonstop flights from the Croatian coast to points in Europe in June.

This aircraft is perfect for times like these...airbus is to big and inefficient for their load factor and the art is just too slow...

And the Dash is not too slow for ZAG-CPH???

Who cares if you need 10 mins longer? At least OU doesn't have ATRs that would need 30 mins more.

You mean like JA did? I think they were the only Balkan nation to ever send their ATR there. Actually in the Balkans and eastern Europe, only airBaltic and Croatia Airlines send their turboprop to CPH.

They are suffering due to lack of demand but they still keep on splitting their operations by operating from coast to Star Alliance hubs directly. Complete nonsense commercially, but elections are in July.

Such political maneuvers deserve bankruptcy absolutely.

Dude - au contraire, wake up. It's summer coming and the tourism season starting, they should focus on commercially more lucrative routes to the coast!

What tourism bruh? There won't be any this summer. Wake up. They are going to CPH because of SK transfers just like they did at MUC.

Daily ZAG-CPH....wow! Never imagined such a huge demand for a sleepy city like CPH.
    Oh well...good for OU!!

Why? It's the summer after all so tourists are starting to arrive.

Sleepy city? What are you talking about?? Copenhagen is incredibly vibrant at so many levels in normal times, from business to culture and culinary scene and everything in between. It is itself a popular tourist destination, in addition to which its airport is the main hub for all of Scandinavia.
We had a quite strict lockdown, espesially when compared to Sweden, but the country and the city are opening up.

      Culinary culture? lol
Their most popular dish are the polse, simple sausages. When you come from the Balkans Nordic cuisine seems bland and disgusting. Copenhagen is nice but it's not vibrant like Istanbul, Venice, Thessaloniki...

Yes, culinary culture. Have you heard of Noma, one of the world's best restaurants?

Everyone has different taste. I dislike Venice, think Copenhagen is better than Istanbul and I have never been keen to go to Thessaloniki as a tourist.

It will be tough for this route to work. Danes are advised not to travel abroad until September and people in southern Sweden, who also normally use Copenhagen Airport, are not allowed into Denmark.

Croatians aren't allowed into Denmark either, of course. Only Germans and Norwegians, but they're not allowed to stay in Copenhagen, only other parts of the country.
