Wizz Air will commence new year-round flights from Dortmund to Podgorica and Split this August after the airline announced the opening of its 33rd base in the German city. Operations to Split will commence on August 1 and run three times per week, while services to the Montenegrin capital will start on August 8, also three times per week. Dortmund will become Wizz Air's first year-round service to Split, complementing seasonal flights from London Luton, Katowice and Warsaw. Furthermore, it will be Wizz Air's second new route to Podgorica this summer, with the airline also introducing flights from Vienna next month. Their first destination in ex YU was DTM ZAG. Depressing that they are treating us like this.

DeleteTaxes in ZAG are about 13€ per person and LCCs are not able to do any profit with these prices. Im really intrested what will happend with LCC routes from VIE because of the newest 12€ taxes for all flights.

DeleteI really hope that Wizz will launch new flights to SJJ. For example, SJJ-SKP, SJJ has been dying for flights to SKP. SJJ-BVA or EZY could launch flights to CDG, Also EZY could launch flights SJJ to AMS or Wizz could launch SJJ-EIN. Wizz other airlines still have so much potential in and BiH.
DeleteIf I remember correctly, you mixed up some things. Yes, Wizz operated LTN-ZAG, but not DTM-ZAG. It was Easyjet on the DTM-ZAG, LGW-ZAG and CDG-ZAG
DeleteUnfortunately, both Easy and Wizz withdrew from ZAG, Ryan as the most dangerous, was never let in, Transavia chased away during negotiations, Volotea as well, and Norwegian reduced to seasonal only. Those are results of the Croatian open market economy, noninterference of the politics and Croatia Airlines competent management capable of facing competition LOL

DeleteI have a friend who works for ATC at SJJ. He told me that they are thinking of dropping their taxes down to attract more airlines.

Yes. There are a lot out people who live in this region also in Netherlands. In this region lives more than 10 milion people. I think this is good decision
