NEWS FLASH

England has announced 59 countries with which it is forming an air bridge, among which are both Croatia and Serbia. Quarantine will not apply to people arriving back in England from either country. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, which form part of the United Kingdom, are still determining whether they will enforce the same rules. People travelling from the 59 countries and fourteen British overseas territories on the list will not have to quarantine for fourteen days on arrival in England unless they have travelled through a place which is not exempt. Passengers will still be required to provide contact information on arrival in England. Croatia and Serbia are the only two countries from the former Yugoslavia which have been included on the “air bridge” list, providing a major boost for operators including Croatia Airlines, British Airways, Air Serbia, Wizz Air, leisure carriers and the Croatian tourism industry overall. The measures go into effect on July 10.

Slovenia is not on the list. When arriving in England from Slovenia there is still a 14 day quarantine.

The list published on GOV.UK (see Anon 21:32) is the right one, Slovenia is on the list. This is the list that is heavily criticized by Portugal government since includes only Madeira and Azores without mainland Portugal: "It is quite absurd the UK has seven times more cases of Covid-19 than Portugal so we think this is not the way in which allies and friends are treated." It is obvious that the list doesn't follow any epidemiologic criteria. That's why it probably won't be used in Scotland that describe it as "shambolic".

Nevertheless, UK is on the Slovenian "red list", that means 14-day quarantine: maybe that's why media yesterday published just the list of the countries where tourist corridors are possible without restrictions.

Slovenia is not on the list. The list you are talking about is the one where the UK government is NOT advising AGAINST all but necessary travel. The important list (which means Brits dont have to quarantine on return), Slovenia is not on there.

Exactly. And that's perfectly fine. Slovenia will probably close boarder with Croatia in a week, since most of new cases are still connected with ex-YU. Soft approach with Croatia will end with elections, Janša and Plenković are allies and open boarder with Croatia is result of that. Epidemiologic situation on the Balkans in now worst then in Italy in the beginning of March.
