Tuzla remains Bosnia’s busiest airport

NEWS FLASH

Tuzla Airport was Bosnia and Herzegovina’s busiest for a second consecutive month, outperforming Sarajevo by a notable margin. Tuzla Airport welcomed 32.008 travellers in July, down 52.8% on the same month last year, while Sarajevo saw 13.345 passengers, a decrease of 92.6%. Apart from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, both airports were impacted by the ban on flights to Austria, which lasted through the second half of July. During the first seven months of the year, Tuzla Airport handled 141.855 passengers, while Sarajevo saw 156.885 travellers.

TZL will be the only case where a capital city is not the busiest as it is the case in 95% of the European airports. In other words, TZL is the ZRH of Swizterland or the JFK of America.
