Ellinair to restore Belgrade flights

NEWS FLASH

Greek leisure carrier Ellianair has announced the resumption of flights between Heraklion and Belgrade this coming summer season. Services will resume on June 3 and operate once every ten days until September 27 with the Airbus A320 aircraft. Tickets for the flights can be purchased via the airline’s website or through tour packages offered by partner company Mouzenidis Travel. The airline did not maintain operations between the two cities last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Serbia and Greece are soon expected to sign a memorandum on travel conditions for the upcoming summer, which would enable vaccinated travellers from Serbia entry into Greece without any restrictions, while others would have to hold a negative Covid-19 PCR test. Greece has banned entry for the majority of Serbian citizens since July 2020 due to the epidemiological situation.

    Belgrade is rising again.

The list of airlines that will open or re-open flights to Belgrade is getting longer.

    Well done!

Plus don't forget some like Aegean who moved their return from April to march.

They have offices in Kneza Miliosa street in Belgrade, as they are part of Mouzenidis group.

The flights are per 10/11 days, according to Mouzenidis travel packages, not one per week, and actually works as charter flights, but it is possible to buy tickets just for flights. It is bad that Ellinair downgraded their frequency in terms of capacity. Ellinair used to fly two time per week, and it was great opportunity to visit Crete as a weekend brake.

Have you heard about pandemic maybe?

    2. Anonymous12:39

Actually not exactly. Three years ago they had two weekly and then two years ago they moved it to every 10 days. This is because it's very difficult to compete with JU which fills flights with all agencies while Mouzenidis is on its own.

And have you heard of a time before the pandemic when their schedule was revised to be the same as the one they will have this year?
People seriously need to stop using the pandemic as an excuse for anything and everything.

And because people used to travel here with agencies, no more or less than 10 days, with 5 big suitcases...

They fly every 10/11 days, not every week, flights are scheduled with Mozuenidis travel packages, but it is possible to buy separate tickets on Ellinair website. Too bad that they downgraded number of flights, they used to fly 2 days per week, and that know is night flight departing BEG at 03:30 am

It was a night flight back then, too? I remember seeing HER flights very late on FR24.

No, flight was at 11am from BEG to HER

I think you confused it with Aegean which some years ago used to operate HER and RHO flights out of BEG at around 02.30.
