NEWS FLASH

Work at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport continues to advance with the greatest progress being made on the newly expanded part of the C concourse. Exterior panels continue to be installed, while the structure has reached the existing C concourse gates. Construction of the new control tower is also advancing, with the structure now surpassing the height of the existing control tower.

Reading such news makes me especially proud! Belgrade is getting a modern terminal it so desperately deserves.

Why does it make you proud? Are you involved in the construction?

Yes ground floor is where bus gates will be located. First floor is air bridges and then second is arriving passengers.

This design is quite ugly in my oppinion. It doesnt look nice at all. They should came up with something better like in OSL, LED, SPU, or ZAG.

It's not a new terminal, just an extension of an existing one.

It's functional, that's what matters. There is room across from A gates to build a new terminal in the future.

SPU and ZAG have amazing terminals. Seems like you are in Western Europe.
The current BEG one is an extension it seems but Vinci could've done a bit better, for sure.

I tend to agree with Anon 13:04 at least they could find some nicer / lighter color vs this dark green / gray exterior. Imagine in summer how hot (or how much more expensive it will be to cool) it will be as dark is attracting heat. This color is a mistake in my opinion.

That's not the facade. They are putting panels over it. Look at the airside. That's how it will look. Some people on here...

Hahaha well OK, we'll be crying here because we're not in Western Europe. We'll hug these vaccines we have and they'll make us feel better. Smfh what some people can spew here.

@Anon 14.19: F***, I remember that article, with the guy saying the facade is more suited for Scottish highlands than Serbia. I guess in his mind Serbia is a barren rock, resembling an Aegean island, just inland lol.

Design is functional and it fits with the rest of the building. MUC is also very simple from the outside but impressive from inside.

They teamed up with a French company which focuses on improving overall passenger experience at airports. Their work is quite nice so I am sure BEG will be too.

Yesterday I passed by the airport and it looks quite nice from the front. I hope they get glass airbridges.
