Pristina Airport sees pre-election flight rush

Pristina Airport will handle an increased number of passenger flights despite the coronavirus pandemic due a number of special services operating ahead of this weekend’s Kosovo parliamentary elections. Today will see the arrival of sixteen flights, the majority of which originate from Switzerland. This will be followed by 29 flights on Saturday. Of those, sixteen are from Switzerland, twelve from Germany and one from Turkey. Elections take place on Sunday.

    So sad to see people flying in the pandemic to cast their votes. We live in the 21st century and digitalisation is key. I mean we do so much online, but risk the spread of the virus to cast a vote?

      But why should diaspora decide how the people on Kosovo should live? Like are they gonna move back and bear the fruits of their votes or will they go back to their newfound homelands?
