NEWS FLASH

Montenegro’s new national carrier Air Montenegro is expected to commence operations in June according to the country’s Minister for Capital Investment, Mladen Bojanić. Mr Bojanić said the carrier’s initial destination will be Belgrade from both Podgorica and Tivat. Air Montenegro has a fleet of two aircraft, previously operated by the now defunct Montenegro Airlines. The new carrier is in the process of hiring staff, selecting its new logo and visual identity, as well as obtaining necessary permits and regulatory approval in order to commence operations.

If they were smart, they would enter negotiations to introduce flights to Russia, either Tivat or Podgorica with competitive prices with all-year-round departures, capturing both tourist and transfer
