NEWS FLASH

Montenegro’s new national carrier ToMontenegro will be branded as Air Montenegro, the company has announced. It has received over 500 proposals for its name and logo, based on an open call it issued in January. “During the selection process for the name, the expert jury had no doubts and it was their conclusion, as well as that of the majority of the public, that Air Montenegro best represents the start of a new chapter for the national carrier”, the airline said. It will select a new visual identity for the company, including its logo and livery, through an international competition.

They really have good fun over there. Kill national airline, establish new, propose to revive old one, gave up on that, name new airline, launch call for name proposal, chose name that is almost the same as of old company (how creative?!)... What's next I wander now?!

Well...I really don't know why they changed the name again, or if there could be a better name. It is good that it has Montenegro in it...But what I know is that situation before was complicated and not really the best...I believe in positive changes.

I wonder if they will preserve the eagle/falcon logo. Looks immediately recognisable and best identifies Crna Gora.

Thank goodness for that. To Montenegro was a silly name for a national carrier.

Look forward to this absolute sham of an airline getting their aircraft repossessed upon landing at the various airports in jurisdictions that their predecessor owes money to. ...as if you can just close down a debt ridden dead airline only to re-open it a few months later without being responsible for it's debts and obligations.
