NEWS FLASH

Banja Luka Airport has more airline seats on offer during the second half of the year than prior to the coronavirus pandemic. At this point, between July and December of this year, a total of 116.637 seats are on sale to and from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s second largest city, which represents an increase of 121% on the same period in 2019. Overall, Banja Luka will have an extra 63.848 seats available compared to pre-pandemic levels. As a result, the airport will record the 35th highest capacity growth rate in Europe this year. It comes as a result of Wizz Air, which introduced five new routes from the city, as well as Air Montenegro, which has commenced a new service from Tivat. This will be followed by an additional two new routes to be introduced by Ryanair in August and November, complementing its existing network from the city. During the first half of the year, Banja Luka Airport handled 12.898 passengers, down 68.4% on the same period in 2020.

Good job Wizz and Ryan Air. Now Banja Luka needs to modernize the airport and build air bridges.

RYR is losing the confidence of passengers due to its constant flight delays and I think they lost the battle with WZZ before it started. They are moving VIE BGY HHN for november. If WZZ try to open one of these destionation they would be 100% full!!!Wzz will fly 60pax on board Ryr wont.
