NEWS FLASH
Zagreb Airport has recorded its busiest month since February 2020. In June, the airport handled 100.933 passengers, down 70% on the same month in 2019, which is in line with the European average. During the first half of this year, Zagreb Airport welcomed 337.372 travellers through its doors, a decrease of 38.4% on 2020 and down 78% on the pre-pandemic 2019.
Zagreb was pretty badly affected by the pandemic. Will they handle a million this year?
ReplyDeleteIn line with the average, as it goes in the article.
DeleteIt seems ZAG handled in H1 as BEG in a single month in June.
ReplyDeleteStarting September, things will obviously change. ZAG is getting more LCC European connections with 738 and not turboprops.
DeleteDon't know which European LCC flies with turboprops exactly.
DeleteExactly, none does.
DeleteWith turboprops is meant Croatia Airlines which will have to compete with the 738s of Ryanair.
DeleteYou didn't get the point. ZAG will have larger planes flying which means it will have more traffic.
ReplyDeleteBut it has more turboprops than almost all capital city ex-yu airports.
DeleteDespite Rayan starting in September, which might even be pushed back due to new wave of Corona, this year is lost for Zagreba. They can only hope the next year to bring some change and positive results.
DeleteSad, but true.
