NEWS FLASH
Low cost carrier Ryanair plans to increase frequencies on two of its newly launched routes from Zagreb. Starting September 1, the airline will double its operations to Charleroi from the existing two weekly operations to four weekly, while services to Gothenburg will be increased from three to four weekly rotations. Ryanair will station a second jet, an Airbus A320, from its Lauda Europe subsidiary, in the Croatian capital from September 1 and launch nine new routes as a result.

DeleteGasto routes could be premium if long haul. Both Air Canada and Air Transat Toronto-Zagreb flights are premium and are bookable for next summer.
DeleteAir Canada and Air Transat are only premium if you've never flown another long-haul airline in your life. But I don't understand this obsession with "premium" anyway, isn't it better for Croatia if a route enables Croatians to fly first and foremost? From this perspective the advent of FR is far more important than any long-haul route.

DeleteI think it has to do with it being CRL. People who have money fly from BRU. Unfortunately there aren't that many from Croatia and that's why SN cut flights and OU is enough.
DeleteI’ve always used SN to BRU when they were flying because their schedule suited me the most. When I switched to OU got the better service, snacks and drinks included, for the same price. The other day friends of mine took a W6 flight from Ljubljana to CRL and their return is with FR to ZAG. Different people, different choices.

DeleteEU capital of Europe, it's normal to have many flights. Proximity to Germany and Netherlands. Not a big surprise and Bravo Hravtska.
