NEWS FLASH

Croatia Airlines’ acting CEO, Jasmin Bajić, is expected to be named as the company’s temporary head for a ninth consecutive time early next month. Mr Bajić has been at the helm of the company since November 2017, when he was selected for a “maximum period of six months” after which the government planned to issue a public call for the position. His term has been extended every six months since then. Although the state did organise a public call to select the national carrier’s new CEO in 2018, the process was shelved following criticism from trade unions that the process was being rigged and mishandled by the government after it removed prior experience in the aviation industry from the list of job requirements. They can't give longer because they would have to organize a tender for the job and for some reason they don't want to.

So much work could have been done had a competent manager from the airline industry been put in charge. In the managerial world, if you don’t show progress within 6-12 months, your ass is grass. Croatistan government? We’re gonna give him 7 more terms!

When you have Union/s like this who decide the fate of the company, is it any surprise why no company has the appetite to invest and take a major share in OU ?

Sorry mate ... I'm sure you are making a valid point, but outside of a handful of people, I don't think that most people would know what it is that you are referring about.

Ivan Misetic was the best CEO that they had. After he left the company went downhill.

Hahahahahahahaha. Just one parallel - fully agree with you, the same as Ivo Sanader was the best PM. The image existed, together with the theft. The consequences of which are still felt today. He was the one to surrender to LH the most prospective market in ex-yu, for his own benefits and interests. He is the one who cemented feeder servant role. He is the one who made OU champ of not only crime and corruption but nepotism as well. And he is the one still actually in charge, through Jasmin and Tena. That much about his achievements and "best CEO"

Pozdrav, you should really take it easy when it comes to OU, mate. If you were unable to maintain your position in the company then that's fine. No need for all this Balkan drama.

How about you having less guesses and prejudices, mate? I am not uncompetent and lazy Uhljeb who is afraid for his future. I work in company which is NASA for OU. And before it, I worked for similar one. I CHOSE TO LEAVE OU because it's not healthy environmemt to work and function in. If you cannot understand that, it's your problem. And if you think it's drama loudly speaking about crime and corruption in OU for which all people in Croatia pay bills, than definitely Balkan adjective suits more to you than to me. Cheers mate!
