NEWS FLASH
Sarajevo Airport handled 99.950 passengers this September, just 5.1% short of its 2019 result when it welcomed 105.370 travellers. The strong performance was fuelled by Wizz Air, which opened a base in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital this summer, as well as a number of Middle Eastern carriers which have launched new routes and increased frequencies to the city. During the month, Wizz Air offered the most seats from Sarajevo, followed by Turkish Airlines and Austrian Airlines. The most capacity was available to and from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gocken Airport, then Istanbul’s main airport and Vienna. During the first three quarters, Sarajevo Airport welcomed 550.483 passengers through its doors, down 40.4% on the same period in 2019.
Well done Sarajevo!

ReplyDeleteUhm. SJJ handled 550k this year. With three months left there is no way SJJ will exceed the 2019 result.
