NEWS FLASH

Egypt Air's subsidiary Air Cairo is expected to launch flights between Hurghada and Banja Luka next summer season. The airline’s representatives met with the Minister for Trade and Tourism of the government of Republika Srpska, Suzana Gašić, the General Manager of Banja Lua Airport, Milan Račić, the Egyptian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yasser Sorour, as well as tour operators from Bosnia and Herzegovina this week. “The meetings involved discussions over the introduction of regular flights from Banja Luka to Hurghada next year. The talks represent the continuation of the excellent cooperation we have with representatives from Egypt and the Egyptian airline”, tour operator Kon Tiki said in a statement. It added, “In the coming period, we expect for all procedures to be finalised, after which we will officially present Hurghada as a new destination in our offer with departures from Banja Luka”.

It seems that Air Cairo is expanding in the region quite fast. They currently only have Belgrade flights but now they are planning Nis and Banja Luka flights.

Covid pandemic and low entry restrictions have created very high demand for Egypt, especially from Serbia that had charters + AirCairo, plus tour packages there are a good value for money. If the demand stays, 2022 season will be big success in the region for Air Cairo

Banja Luka already had intercontinental charter flights to Antalya, Turkey. Africa would be the third continent served from BNX after Europe and Asia.

Hurghada flights should have been started long time ago. There are a lot of interest in the region. For pozdrav iz Rijeke: even your capital Zagreb have no flights to Tokyo, LA or Rio. Sarcasm can not help to establish those intercontinental flights from Zagreb.

      Dear Sasa,
In my head, Banja Luka is as much "my' as Zagreb is" yours". I would have written absolutely the same if the headline was :"Zagreb to get intercontinental flights to Algiers". And people with mindset as yours is, from all over ex yu, brought us all to where we are, at the bottom of the bottom.

My dear Pozdrav, Sarcasm conquered your mind. So you can not judge what is top and what is bottom. Even if you come sa Rijeke
