Eurowings further delays new Zagreb service

NEWS FLASH

Eurowings has delayed the launch of its planned new service between Prague and Zagreb for a second time. Flights are now due to commence on January 13, 2022 instead of December 16, 2021. The service was initially scheduled to be inaugurated on November 6. Operations will run once per week, each Saturday, with exception to the launch week when there will be two rotations. Flights are scheduled to be maintained until March 26.

This makes no sense. What makes them think flights will perform well from 13.01, that is after Christmas and New Year, if they didn't for the period before when there is always much more demand. I have a feeling these flights won't start before the summer timetable.

Never considered EW as a serious LCC. They are too weak in Europe compared to FR, U2 and W6. They'd better focus on Germany or with their new strange long haul brand.
I mean asking people to vote for a new route via social media is ridiculous for instance. A joke of an airline.

Voting for destinations is actually a very typical LCC social media activation trick. FR,U2, and W6 are experts at it, so if EW started doing it - this is actually good for them, isn't it?

I personally have never heard of an airline relying on social media for launching a new route as this is conducted by airline experts or by the airport management based on official statistics. But, if you think it's normal via social media, maybe you are right.
