NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia will resume operations from Belgrade to both Venice and Madrid this coming summer season after over two years. The airline will maintain two weekly flights to the Italian city starting April 10, each Thursday and Sunday, with the ATR72 turboprop aircraft, increasing to three weekly during the peak summer months. As a result, Air Serbia will fully reinstate its network to Italy since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, the carrier will resume two weekly operations to Madrid on April 30, each Wednesday and Saturday, with the Airbus A319 aircraft, restoring its Spanish network in full. Air Serbia recently noted it would also be resuming flights to Nice in France next year as well.

Those routes were not operational at time Covid started. Especially not Budapest which was not even planned as a new route.

Why? Because they are cheaper. And we don't need connections, we want to get to Venice and Madrid

Sometimes they are more expensive for example to London. Will you fly with Air Serbia if they are cheaper?

More connections means more passengers on this route. The more passengers there are the more flights JU will have. That is why they can fly daily to some places while Wizz can't have more than two.

Wait a minute, do they have enough aircraft? Those continuous expansions need to be backed by both pilots and planes.

In the end JU will probably have to share Madrid with Wizz Air as twice a week is like an open invitation for competitors to join in ..

Or make Catania even a regular two weekly flight in summer.
