Croatian ACMI specialist ETF Airways has concluded a wet-lease arrangement with France’s Corsair International. As a result, since December 22, ETF has stationed one of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft (registered 9A-ABC) on the island of Reunion, from which it has been operating daily flights to the island of Mayotte, located off the coast of South Africa between Madagascar and Mozambique. The two-hour journey is being maintained on behalf of Corsair, which is one of France’s oldest airlines operating an all widebody fleet. Another of ETF's B737s (registered 9A-LAB) is on a long-term wet-lease to Pristina-based tour operator MyWings Aviation and is now wearing the company's livery.

ReplyDeleteBravo za logicno razmisljanje : dok nam turiste dovoze i odvoze strane kompanije, legacy, LCC i charterske, dok nam tranzitne putnike, domace i strane, voze strane kompanije, iz Europe i sa drugih kontinenata, dok je udio hrvatskih prijevoznika na domacem trzistu manji od 20 posto, dok cak i na PSO linijama lete u najmu strane kompanije sa stranim posadama, dok iz Zagreba ne mozes doci avionom direktno do nekih od najvecih europskih i svjetskih aerodroma i dok od Osijeka ili Rijeke za Split ili Dubrovnik moras ici autom ili javnim prijevozom jer nema kvalitetne i ucestale aviolinije, za to vrijeme nasi avioni i nase posade idu "u pecalbu" u Afriku i tko zna gdje jos. Bravo Hrvatska! Bravo uhljebi! Bravo botovi! Bravo lopovi! Bravo ADEZE! Bravo ne jednom nego sto puta!

Those who do not have money to fly planes will continue paying our debts created by crime, corruption, inertness and incompetence, and we shall continue doing nothing for the aviation in Croatia, and we don't give a sh. t about everything "he" wrote is true, and we shall continue to support our Party and its baby OU no matter what, and we shall continue explaining everything tragic in the country and the company as being said by people from Cacak, or those who woke up on the wrong side of the bed, without giving any single argument why those criticisizing us might not be right. DeletePristina, Réunion, Tel Aviv, Ljubljana, Doha, Dubai, Vilnius, Riga, Dublin and many many more where croatian planes and croatian crews are, within ETF and Trade Air, or on their own, are very much about and in croatian aviation and those planes and those people are not in Croatia precisely because of uhljebs, thieves, dilettantes and Party aparatchiks from OU, so I have every reason to be triggered and I will not give it a rest, sir.
DeleteI'm sorry you're so hurt but if you didn't know already, they are an ACMI operator, a private business, which means they are going where the money is. I'm sure you were expecting them to order a couple of A321LRs and launch DEL, BKK and JNB but it is what it is.
DeleteI am not hurt, I am sad and disappointed because people like you don't see or pretend not to see real reason of all troubles in civil aviation in Croatia, and that is OU and wrong politics which created it. ETF and TDR are ACMI, and private business, and yes, 'they go where the money is", outside Croatia, because they have no access to aerea where money is in Croatia, because politics which favours OU, LH and LCC'S is not letting them enter scheduled market. Those who tried it, be it Dubrovnik, Air Adriatic, Air Croatia, Dalmatian, Anic Airways where brutally and unlawfully slammed within a weeks after announcement of entering "OU (and LH) aerea of interest. I am sorry you don't understand, or pretend not to understand that.
DeleteOr maybe it makes much more economical sense for these airlines to enter the ACMI market rather than scheduled. I don't know if you have ever considered that option...

DeleteVery clever move. Réunion actually is part of the EU which means that Croatia can enjoy operating flights over there freely.
