NEWS FLASH
The Croatian government has finally named Jasmin Bajić as Croatia Airlines’ fully-fledged CEO for a five-year term. Mr Bajić has been serving as the company’s acting CEO for over four years with the state extending his temporary role every six months. Prior to taking over as acting CEO in November 2017, Mr Bajić was the Director of Controlling and Internal Audit at the carrier. His term as CEO will begin on May 6 and runs until 2027. Croatia Airlines noted Mr Bajić was selected following a public competition.

ReplyDeleteAs much as I love OU, I really am disappointed at how they appoint party cronies to leadership positions. We need someone who can lead the company into expansion.

DeleteYou are right about Croatian Partitocracy and Croatia Airlines which have ZERO connection with market economy and democratic standards. But you are VERY WRONG about former Yugoslavia and its aviation, which was, for that time, 10 times more developed than Croatian today, and led by top experts and skilled and devoted managers. Speaking the truth, there were constant attempts by KPJ to create parallel structures, and return everything, including aviation, to centralised and Party-run company, which was the case in 1950's, but they were so weak that they never succeded in such attempts during the last decade or two of Yugoslavia, and all serious and learned people, including aviation managers, used just to make fun of them

DeleteThe same as Take Another Plane for TAP or Sex And Satisfaction for SAS or Gay El Em. Joke is joke. People who can't make and accept jokes and judge reality based on jokes suit totally OU model. Btw JAT during the last decade of Yugoslavia had better on time performance than Croatia Airlines.
