Zagreb Airport approaching pre-pandemic results

NEWS FLASH

Zagreb Airport handled 148.830 passengers in February, representing a decrease of 19.2% on the pre-pandemic 2020 and 17.8% on the same month in 2019. The strong result was achieved on the back of Ryanair, which now holds over 20% of Zagreb Airport’s overall capacity. February’s results represent an improvement on the month before, a notable feat considering it is the weakest for the aviation industry and also the shortest. During the first two months of the year, a total of 289.006 passengers passed through the airport, down 25.4% and 22.4% on 2020 and 2019 respectively.

Great result. February, usually being dead month, not to mention 10% shorter than January, is above January (which also was quite good). Great job in 2022 for ZAG so far.

Yes. January and February 2020 were record breaking for most European airports and airlines.

Finally! I hope that the current crisis does not make this a 3rd year of low numbers. With the restrictions on Ukrainians and Russian tourists and the overall reduction of tourists coming from North America maybe we can at least raise the numbers for DBV from BEG??

BEG will heave a very healthy growth this year. Serbia, as a neutral country, is perfectly positioned to maintain a steady growth in its the aviation sector during the current crisis since it's not tie down by restrictive EU regulations.
