Kazakhstan’s national carrier Air Astana has restored seasonal services from both Almaty and Nur-Sultan to Podgorica. The flights, initially launched last summer, will operate six times per week (four times per week from Almaty and two weekly from Nur-Sultan). Last year’s operations were extremely popular and were able to resume after the Montenegrin government lifted visa requirement for Kazakh passport holders again on a temporary basis. Return airfares including all fees, start from 594 US dollars in economy class and 1.774 in business class. All flights are being maintained by the 166-seat Airbus A321LR aircraft, featuring sixteen seats in business class and the remaining 150 in the economy cabin. “I would like to particularly thank the Montenegrin government which has facilitated visa exemptions for a second year in a tow. Such a visa scheme is of crucial importance for these flights. Kazakhs and tourists from Kazakhstan really like Montenegro and spend a lot of money there. Montenegro is very popular in Kazakhstan”, Air Astana’s President and CEO, Peter Foster, said.

The airline is called Air Astana and they stopped flights to Russia in March because their insurance would not cover their aircraft anymore.
