NEWS FLASH

Croatia Airlines has seen its average cabin load factor increase and now averages 62% across its network. “Croatia Airlines plans to carry out all of its scheduled flights this summer. We have secured enough resources, including employees, seasonal personnel and aircraft. We link Croatia with 21 international airports on 41 international routes. We have 1.766.000 seats on sale on international flights to Croatia to enhance the country’s tourism industry. At this point, our average cabin load factor is around 62%”, the carrier’s Chief Commercial Officer, Slaven Ĺ˝abo, said. Croatia Airlines’ best average annual cabin load factor was registered in the pre-pandemic 2019 when it stood at 73.6%. Last year, the figure totalled just 49.9%.

I travelled MXP-SPU and back last weekend and the plane was quite full (more than 50 pax) in both directions. As the average ticket price was above 200€ for the return trip and the flight is on a Dash, I guess it should turn out to be very profitable for them. Then again, summer has never been OU's problem.

It would be good to know if the announced LF is for YTD or last month or in July only (as the guy says "at this point"). Considering that the devil is always in the details and not many details are mentioned in this statement, I assume the worst, first 10 days of July.
