ETF sets up airlines in French overseas departments

NEWS FLASH

Croatia’s ETF Airways, which specialises in ACMI flights, has established two carriers in the French overseas departments of Reunion and Martinique, with the aim of setting up a permanent presence in the territories, one of which is in the Indian Ocean and the other in the Caribbean. “Two sister airlines have been established, Fly–Li, to be based in Reunion, and Fly-Wi, in Martinique. Each company is planned to initially operate one Boeing 737-800 aircraft each and the first flights are scheduled to take off in Q4 2022”, ETF Airways said in a statement. It added, “We are already in talks on fleet expansion for both of our sister airlines, while the option to add two more B737-800s in late 2023 is being discussed. Together with local investors, we have chosen Mr Samuel Vivares, with over ten years of experience as Regional Director for Corsair in the West Indies, to represent both companies together with ETF Airways CEO Stjepan Bedić. ETF Airways intends to fly scheduled routes in the Caribbean but will continue to offer its ACMI and charter expertise worldwide”. ETF Airways operated one of its aircraft on behalf of Corsair last winter.

By the looks of it they take care of planes and scheduling while money is coming from somebody else.

Actually surprised to see how their expansion is going, especially compared to Trade Air, who is on the market for 20 years

Smart move. They are considered EU territories so it's very easy for any EU country to establish air links. Good luck and Bravo Hrvatska!

It would make sense for global tourist giant Croatia to have enough opportunity for domestic operator to engage locally for incoming charters and ACMI ops, instead of looking for work across the seven seas.

ETF is a privatelly-owned company. I see absolutely no sense in your post.

It's true, ETF is part of the Kradeze OU LH cartel gang. They're not allowed to exploit the great potential of glorious Croatia.

    4. No, ETF is not allowed to enter into market segment reserved for Kradeze OU LH Cartel gang. If they ever try it, they will follow the fate of Anic Airways, Air Croatia, Air Adriatic, Dubrovnik Airline, Dalmatian.hr.... So, either you are blind or pretend to be blind or so much in love with your great potential and glorious Kradeze that everything else than praise for them is "govor mrznje"

Nah, they're just going after the money. This is real life not fantasy world where ZAG is intergalactical hub with A321XLR flights to Cleveland and Johannesburg.
