NEWS FLASH

Split Airport has concluded a wide-ranging advertising campaign with Croatia Airlines valued at just over half a million euros. Croatia’s second busiest airport will place its banner on Croatia Airlines’ website, as well as the carrier’s newsletter and in-flight magazine. Furthermore, its logo will be featured on catering trolleys used on board, and a thirty-second ad will be played on the overhead screens on the airline’s Airbus fleet on domestic, international and charter flights. Passengers will also be given Split Airport leaflets on board. The airport noted that Croatia Airlines was the only carrier that met its requirements for the advertising campaign. “Split Airport’s year-round connectivity with the rest of the world depends primarily on Croatia Airlines, which plays an extremely important role in the development of tourism in this region. Croatia Airlines is Split Airport’s most important business partner as it offers the most flights, destinations, and capacity throughout the year. Services provided by Croatia Airlines are especially important during the winter, when demand for flights is significantly lower. It is also worth noting that Croatia Airlines played a key role during the two years of pandemic-related restrictions”, Split Airport said. Croatia Airlines expanded its operations from Split this year with the launch of five new routes. An additional two new destinations, to Skopje and Oslo, will be added in 2023.

All they are doing is talking money Split Airport earned from other airlines and their passengers during the summer and funneling it to Croatia Airlines as a "legal" subsidy.

Non sense..... That money is peanuts. Nothing. The whole campaign is enough to cover three days of their "operation"

Instead of focusing on ZAG expansion and the use of planes that are currently wasting time and time at the apron for new routes out of ZAG (that are for some reason being flown on seasonal one weekly flights out of SPU and aren’t even available out of ZAG) , focusing on transfer passengers and growing it’s overall presence in ZAG here they are singing the most useless contracts and not moving in any business aspect for the last couple of years for the 1000th time.

Absolutely agree, except for "the last couple of years". It's been going on for over 20 years

Their crews definitely did first hand experience the flees and bed bugs this year in the hotels where the company 'accomodates' them

Another feather in OU's hat of legal aid from various state sources. If only they were as creative with route planning.
