Air Serbia has wet-leased one Embraer E195 jet from Air Montenegro for the duration of the 2022/23 winter season, the Montenegrin carrier’s Board of Directors has confirmed. According to a statement from Board member Vuk Stojanović, the 112-seat aircraft will operate for Air Montenegro during the mornings and early afternoons, after which it will be ferried to Belgrade and maintain flights on behalf of Air Serbia during the late afternoon and evening hours. It will enter into service on behalf of the Serbian carrier this evening, between Belgrade and Zurich. According to the “Pobjeda” daily, Air Montenegro, which recently warned the government it may have liquidity issues by next autumn if it is not given additional funding, stands to profit some 900.000 euros from the arrangement. The wet-lease will run until March 25 of next year. A wet-lease is a leasing arrangement whereby the lessor provides an aircraft, complete crew, maintenance and insurance to another airline. Besides Air Montenegro’s E195, Air Serbia is currently wet-leasing an Airbus A319 from Romanian carrier Dan Air.

Bad planning on behalf of JU. Two A319s are out of service while I was told YU-APB won't be back anytime soon as Jat Tehnika is falling apart.

Jat Tehnika falling apart isn't really Air Serbia's fault.

They gotta find new maintenance service procider. But this has nothing to do with Jat tehnika, they are helping out Montenegro.

It's bad planning because they didn't find an alternative in time

APM is back, flying to Dusseldorf tonight. On the other hand, Papa Bravo is stuck in JAT Tehnika for more than 3 months now. If they are smart, they won't give any other plane to JAT Tehnika for maintenance, rather send them to Ljubljana, Zagreb or Bacau and get them back in 10-15 days instead of 3 months.

Could it be that YU-APB is leaving the fleet? It's amongst the oldest aircraft in the fleet.

JU is not helping Air Montenegro.... JU have assessed the best solution for themselves and made a deal with the best cost solution. JU is helping JU.

Marek mentioned that they plan to move from the A319's to the A320's. The gap between the ATR72 and the A320 will most likely be filled with the ERJ's. It seems like a throw back to the past before the arrival of the B733's when the fleet was mostly DC9's and B727's. I wouldn't be surprised if ERJ's become the first factory fresh aircraft order by JU.

Good maneuvering by JU. Now just about anyone wanting to fly in or out of TGD will more than likely have to use Air Serbia.
