Turkish Airlines sees record Zagreb performance

NEWS FLASH

Turkish Airlines handled 132.611 passengers between Istanbul and Zagreb during the first three quarters of the year, representing its best performance on the route to date, according to the European Commission's statistical office Eurostat. The carrier registered an 11.5% increase in traveller numbers on the same period during the pre-pandemic 2019. Its overall passenger share in the Croatian capital stood at 5.8%. The airline faces no direct competition on the route which is codeshared by its Croatia counterpart. Turkish Airlines operates flights to Dubrovnik in Croatia in addition to Zagreb and has previously considered introducing services to Split. Makes sense since they almost always use the 321.

That said their A321s are not high density because of dedicated business class.

No, ZAG is better performing in 2022.

TK had 87,782 in Ljubljana in Q1-Q3. But remember they were flying just a couple of flights per week during the first few months of the year
