Montenegro and Azerbaijan ink air deal

Montenegro and Azerbaijan signed an Air Service Agreement over the weekend enabling the introduction of scheduled flights between the two countries. Azerbaijan’s national carrier AZAL has previously maintained regular one weekly charter flights between Baku and Tivat over the summer months. Commenting on the new deal, the Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, said, “We have signed an agreement on air transport between Azerbaijan and Montenegro with Vice President of the Government of Montenegro, and Minister of Capital Investments, Ervin Ibrahimovic, who is visiting Azerbaijan. This agreement will facilitate mutual visits of citizens of the two countries and will positively affect the development of tourism and cultural relations between our countries”.
