Zagreb Airport registers busiest January on record

Zagreb Airport saw its busiest start to the year in January by handling 221.747 passengers. The figure represents an increase of 58.2% on last year and 9.2% on the pre-pandemic January of 2020. The number of aircraft movements stood at 3.255. Zagreb Airport has said it expects to register solid growth throughout the year. The airport will see the addition of one new route this year so far, to the Greek island of Kos, which will be launched on June 2 by Ryanair.

    Did Ryanair operate flights back then?

      Ryanair runs flights on the A320. Lufthansa, KLM, Croatia Airlines, Air France, LOT etc mostly send much smaller aircraft and have a lower load factor.

      KLM is reducing capacity to ZAG in summer. All flights will be operated by Cityhopper. Last year in summer it was a mix of B73W and B738.
      Double daily flights resume on 21.06.

    Thank you for this website actually recognizing that in the first 2 months of 2020 are prepandemic. All the airport in ex-Yu had a record in those two months.

    Guys does FR has only a base in ZAG with A320 or also with their B73H and MAX? Because i don't understand why there is a 737 at the rear of the photo?

      Some STN flights are operated by STN-based 737.
