NEWS FLASH
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport welcomed 64.896 passengers in February, representing an increase of 70.2% on the same month last year. The figure is still down 18.7% on the pre-pandemic February of 2020. However, it is notable that the airport’s traffic improved during the shorter month of February compared to the traditionally better performing January, giving hope of a busy year ahead. Over the first two months of the year, Slovenia’s main gateway welcomed 122.808 travellers through its doors, up 62.2% on the same period last year, but down 20.9% on the first two months of 2020.
Getting better day by day
ReplyDeleteI wonder if World Cup in Planica helped FEB results any or if it was just a good month.
ReplyDeleteThere were few full charters from Oslo and back with World Cup fans. I assume that gives at least 1000-1200 pax.
DeleteI would really appreciate if someone could post difference to jan-feb19 as well? Thx
ReplyDeleteSure, in jan - feb 2019 there were 103 kilos and 105 kilos. So in January and February 2023 there are some 40% less passangers than prepandemic.
DeleteAs much as some people talk constantly against Slovenia and everything Slovenian airport is developing!
ReplyDelete-40% vs 2019. Really?
DeleteIt's not the busiest, but we can't get around the fact that the landscape around it is the most beautiful in exy
ReplyDeleteHaha, not to mention that the air is the cleanest of them all :) Does that count?

I see that skyscanner also finds these flights every monday and friday, the prices are normal, this route will probably be sucessful.
DeleteTrade Air failed but had no advertising and no online bookings.
DeleteHere there is, the plane is smaller!
But it is possible that it is the same tour operator + the GP Swiss.
GP Aviation is doing well, let's hope this route will be successful too!
DeleteLjubljana needs desesperately more flights from low cost airlines. It would be more than welcome if Wizzair, easyJet or Ryanair add new routes
ReplyDeleteVueling will probably open some Bar/Mad flights
DeleteVueling could easily do it since Iberia was almost full two years ago when they flew to LJU for a month
DeleteBut low yields
