NEWS FLASH

Banja Luka Airport will boast new seasonal summer charter flights to several destinations this summer. Tunisia’s Nouvelair will operate leisure flights from Monastir, on the country’s Mediterranean coast, to Banja Luka from May 31. On June 7, Turkey’s Tailwind Airlines will commence regular summer charters from Antalya, while from July 1, Aegean Airlines will run charters from Athens to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s second largest city. The operator of Banja Luka Airport today named a new General Manager with Natalija Trivić to take over the reins. Ms Trivić is a former journalist and was the Minister for Education and Culture in the government of the entity of Republika Srpska from 2018 until 2022. “Jointly with my colleagues I will continue to increase traffic and passenger numbers, as well as improve the business on all levels”, Ms Trivić said. Banja Luka Airport handled 93.430 passengers during the first quarter of the year.

Ms. Trivić has diplomas in journalism and dramatic artist. Before that she was a waitress. So, he has a lot of experience in all areas, except in aviation

Of course they are, but the thing is that she bought her diploma. So not the same.

Really? Bought where, from whom? Which one? Obviously she is not the right person for the CEO, and that is political decision. But saying that she bought a diploma, is a very serious.

There are here a lot of frustrated persons who comment negatively Ms. Trivić. She has performed excellent all her duties in the past that were on much higher level than a manager of the small airport. Maybe some commentators have bought their diplomas or wanted to do that, but failed

I am sad they appointed someone with zero experience to ruin this airport, but not shocked

With this kind of appointment, it is clear that she is not there to run the airport, but just to back the decisions of someone else behind.
So far, that someone else did a decent job and development of the charter traffic is good way forward.

Btw, charters are the type of business Mostar and Maribor should look into, instead of dialing go develop commercial trafic.

Zero experience in aviation had also a previous manager. He did his job pretty good even he spent more time somewhere else and not at the airport

Incredible! In an age with so much competition and economic growth potential they hire an airport manager with no previous experience. And they are not ashamed to advertise it.

BNX has so much potential. First of all terminal building has to be extenden and modernised. With minimal amount of capital it could be desecnt terminal. Second they should hire someone with experience so that airport continues growing and stop hiring on political base. I hope BNX will counitnue its growth. I travel a lot to and from BNX and I wish them all the best
