NEWS FLASH

The former CEO of Adria Airways, Mark Anžur, is one of seven candidates who have applied to become the new Chief Executive of Air Montenegro, according to the “Vijesti” daily. The Montenegrin carrier issued a public call for the post last month. Mr Anžur led the Slovenian national airline from December 2012 until its privatisation in March 2016. Prior to that, he served as Adria’s Chief Commercial Officer. After leaving Adria, Mr Anžur held several positions, including as CEO of Irish regional carrier Stobart Air.

The remaining six candidates for the top job at Air Montenegro include, Igor Pavićević, who at one point served as an assistant to the CEO of Montenegro Airlines; Dražen Ćorović, a lawyer from Podgorica; Wayne Pearce, a Swiss-based airline strategy and management expert who previously held senior management roles at Thai Airways, Oman Air. Etihad Airways and Qantas; Vuk Stojanović, a current member of the Air Montenegro Board of Directors who had previously served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Montenegro Airlines; Danilo Lakić, who works at the Montenegrin Ministry for Capital Investments; and Goran Jandreoski, who had previously served as the Director General at the Civil Aviation Agency of Macedonia, as the Technical Director at TAV Macedonia and, most recently, as the CEO of operator Airports of Montenegro from July 2021 until June 2022.

Nice! Good to see so many professionals that are interested, the future of Air Montenegro is certainly in good hands. I believe mr. Pozdrav would make a great candidate for this position as well.

He actually would! No need for nastiness. I think he makes several valid and often overlooked points.

Anžur is an excellent choice for executing the "terminal solution" end game scenario of Air Montenegro, like seen in Adria Airways. .
