NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia has today unveiled details of what it calls a “state-of-the-art” retail shop set to open on September 1 in Belgrade. As previously reported by EX-YU Aviation News, the new facility will be located on the second floor of the Galerija Shopping Mall in the exclusive Belgrade Waterfront neighbourhood. The retail shop will be open from ten in the morning until ten in the evening, seven days per week. “In this modern, futuristic, and vibrant space, passengers will be able to purchase flight tickets or obtain information on everything related to the national carrier’s services to over eighty destinations across Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. Well-known symbols of Air Serbia and all elements of its corporate identity will be integrated into a pleasant and functional space”, the company said. The airline’s CEO, Jiri Marek, noted, “The expansion of our destination network and the improvement of business has led to an increased demand for tickets, especially on weekends, as evidenced at our retail shop in Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra on Saturdays. In order to offer passengers additional options for purchasing airline tickets, we have tried to find a location that would be open throughout the week and easily accessible. Our new retail shop can be reached by elevator in just a few minutes. Weekend, snow, rain, heat, will no longer be hindering factors for those who plan trips and need to reach their desired destination”. Air Serbia already operates three retail shops in Belgrade - one at its headquarters, another downtown and one at the airport.
Cool!
ReplyDeleteHow stupid
ReplyDeleteIt's not kitschy at all.
ReplyDeleteHahaha true
DeleteGreat. The place to go when you are looking for financial compensation for delayed or cancelled flights :)
ReplyDeleteThey won't be able to help you, anyway. Ticketing agents can't do much in terms of compensation. They can't do anything, actually.
DeleteJust follow the official ways of communicating with customer relations teams and that's it. Don't be one of those people who yell at employees who literally are not responsible for your problem.

DeleteAlthough `Karen` moments will not help at all, JU has a terrible complaint-handling mechanism.
Following the official ways of communication will either get you nowhere or get you to the point where you need to argue with them via e-mail for the simplest things and wait for the response for up to 3+ months. There is no such thing as live or in-person communication with people handling issues other than those related to booking and ticketing.
Their new retail shop will not be making up for the lack of professional and timely responses.
You can go and try calling 0800 111 528 and type number 7 for the ``claims`` option, you will get an automated response to visit their website, after which they will cut the line.
In reality `Just follow the official ways of communicating with customer relations teams and that's it.` will get you nowhere with them. Much bigger airlines with many more claims and complaints handle customer service way better and that's where AirSerbia needs to work a lot. Not to mention the hell you need to go through to get an operator, when after 60min the provider just cuts the line and you need to go all over again. Also in 2023 they still dont have live chat and their app is not user friendly.
You can have a good network, but when you earn a reputation for being unreliable and unprofessional in handling passengers with unwanted citations or god forbid respecting their passenger's rights, then you have no place in the industry.
But in the meantime they are opening a retail shop in a controversial shopping mall instead of working on their flawed system.
I second this. 4 emails a month apart brought zero response from "customer service'. Ended up filing a lawsuit through local lawyer.
DeleteI like it how they "needed" to get a shop at the Galerija shopping mall in order to keep it open seven days a week. Because, you know, it's impossible to keep the downtown office open on Sundays....
ReplyDeleteFor the same reason more retail shops are open in shopping malls where customers are.
DeleteI was thinking it was just government looking for ways to fill up Galerija.
DeleteI went there last weekend to the cinema and I can say that it's getting close to full. There's less and less free shops in the mall.
And the crowd is definitely present at the mall.
If they're after customers Galerija is the last mall they should be looking at... The place has like a half of its shop spaces empty. They're probably there just to fill up the space and make the mall sound slightly more posh for having a kitchy airline office
DeleteHalf empty? You haven't been there in along time. Mall is now pretty busy.
Deletebeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat is “state-of-the-art” in here?

DeleteI like how the admin said "what it calls" 😂
DeleteDoes anyone know if it is possible to buy those mini model planes there (avioničiči) for AirSerbia? I was always surised why you could not find those on flights to purchase, or why they dont gift those to all passengers on inaugoroul flights, matching the plane model that you fly on (also thought likewise the Soko train mini model train would be given to all passengers on the first run, buy the train company does not even offer them for ourchase either). Where I live, you can always buy little things like that, a model or toy ferry ship if you ride on one, a toy or model police car or other branded memorobilia if you visit a police department shop in your town, etc.
ReplyDeleteYes. The model planned can be bought at their retail stores and also the premium lounge in BEG
Delete*planes
DeleteIt looks nice. Will probably look even better in real life. I don't get all the hate. Guess people are just bored with their lives, so they just hate on everything.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are not bored.
DeleteI think it looks really nice. Good job, AS.
ReplyDeleteNice and good they still invest in city offices
ReplyDeleteVery different than usual which is fresh and good to see something different then communist style 🌼
ReplyDeleteHow about opening one in Novi Sad?
ReplyDeleteAir Serbia closed the one in Novi Sad, Nis, Uzice and even one of the offices in Belgrade (in Kralja Milana). Dane Kondic's work. They then donated half of the retail store in Bulevar to Sinisa Mali so he could open St Mark's cafe.
DeleteI think it is a “chic” and there is nothing to
ReplyDeletecomplain about
C’mon, it looks interesting…

DeleteIzvanredan potez Er Srbije. Otvaranje prodajnog centra u Galerija Mail. Gde se okuplja narod tu je i potencijal. Uvek bilo. U Srbiji takodje.
Bez mogucnosti i izbora ljudi nedolaze.

I understand there are people who had some bad experience with Air Serbia, and they believe Air Serbia is a bad choice... On the other hand they should understand that there are also people who didn't really have any trouble flying with Air Serbia multiple times during a year, and do that again and again... Oh wait... I did wait for an hour longer in London, and 45 minutes in Sarajevo... But being an airline enthusiast it really doesn't bother me that much... In an ordinary people's day in Belgrade, you waste twice as much time in traffic, or waiting for a bus... So really not a big deal...
